Purchase Agreement – Before you buy/invest!
Gaza has been sealed off from the world for over four years, only through tunnels has there been any trade not authorised by Israel, and that trade is expensive and dangerous. We now seek to end this unacceptable situation, however, there is no guarantee we will be able to export Palestinian products regularly and cost effectively. Right now the cost of exporting is considerable and risky, nonetheless our mission is to affect normal, viable trade, and together we shall make it so.
This is an opportunity to invest in the development of the Gazan economy, when you make a purchase your money will go to the producers first, to our efforts to transport the products to market second. The producers are all Palestinians, they are independent, mostly female, and generally very poor. We are paying fair prices, above their asking price. As a social enterprise our first task is to enable the producers a dignified standard of living. This is fair trade, but until we completely break the blockade we cannot guarantee the product will reach you, nor that the producers will have a secure income. Together we are taking small risk for the sake of humanity and justice.
It is our intention to be able to guarantee a deliverable product upon purchase very soon, for now however we cannot guarantee delivery. If necessary the purchased items will be stored until it becomes possible to deliver them.
